What does it mean to witness to your Christian faith in a multi-faith world? That was the topic of a public presentation at the ACC, the last of the three for this Auckland gathering.

ACC XV – New members of the Standing Committee appointed

On the penultimate day of the Anglican Consultative Meeting in Auckland, New Zealand the members of the Council elected six members to serve on the Standing Committee. It is expected that the Standing Committee will hold its first meeting in April or May of 2013.

ACC XV – Future of Continuing Indaba secured by ACC vote

A wide variety of members presented the report from the Continuing Indaba program at the meeting today of the Anglican Consultative Council meeting in Auckland, New Zealand. The word indaba is a Zulu word for decision making by consensus common in many African cultures with parallels in many societies globally.

ACC XV – Consider regional dimension to enhance Instruments of Communion

One way to enhance the Instruments of Communion might be greater regional gatherings, involvement and understanding according to the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC).

ACC XV – Archbishop’s final presidential address

In his final Presidential address, the Archbishop of Canterbury this evening told the Anglican Communion not to accept second best, but to seek a balance between corrective authority and enabling authority while still doing God’s work.

ACC XV – Environmental change is a moral issue

Bishop of Christchurch the Rt Revd Victoria Matthews told delegates at the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) meeting on October 31, that she thought there were two Anglican Communion Covenants: one in people’s heads, the other the one written down.
