A slightly revised motion was presented on the Saturday of Synod by the Archbishop of Dublin and the Bishop of Down & Dromore. This incorporated aspects of their three motions presented on Thursday. Both the speakers to the motion delivered speeches which were conciliatory in both their content and tone of presentation.

General Synod news -Revised motion on sexuality & marriage

A motion from the House of Bishops was presented to Synod yesterday (Friday) with the intent that it shall be discussed today (Saturday 12th May). The motion is a minor reworking of the three motions which were ruled out or withdrawn on Thursday. The reworking is an attempt to meet the legal concerns raised.
