National adviser to support catholic Church of England parishes
Christian Today – A new post is being developed to help and support catholic Church of England parishes. The role of National Adviser in Catholic Evangelism will be combined with the role of Vicar of St Matthew’s, Carver Street, in Sheffield. The post is the result of discussions between the Bishop of Sheffield, the Bishop of Beverley and Church Army. It will be supported financially by several Catholic charities.

Church failing to prepare people for suffering
Christians need to be ready for suffering, the former Bishop of Chester has said. Bishop Michael Baughen was addressing this year’s Keswick Convention in the Lake District. He said the Church was not preparing people for the inevitability of suffering.

Scotland delays same-sex marriage legal decision
