A thought and prayer for today

Today’s thought is from Robert Runcie

In the middle ages people were tourists because of their religion, whereas now they are tourists because tourism is their religion.

I sometimes think that Thomas Cook should be numbered among the secular saints. He took travel from the privileged and gave it to the people.  Robert Runcie  (1921-2000), Archbishop of Canterbury

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people:
Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who
calls us each by name, and follow where he leads;
who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.
