New organ CD, Festival of Church Music in Cork, Adare institution, Music at Christ Church, Dublin
St Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin
On Thurs 28 there will be an organ recital by David Leigh, St Patrick’s, and Charles Harrison, Lincoln Cathedral, at 8pm. They will also launch their new CD this evening, which will be on sale on the night. Tickets are €10/€5 (students with ID free). Available on the door only
Festival of Church Music
The 31st St Barrahane’s Festival of Church Music continues in Castletownshend, Co. Cork, on Thursday evening when there will be a recital by the Degani Ensemble with the soprano, Cara O’Sullivan.
Adare institution
The Reverend Gary Paulsen will be instituted on Sat 30th at St Nicholas Adare, Limerick diocese.
Patronal Festival St Peter & St James, Belfast
The guest speaker at morning prayer on Sunday past was the Rev Dr Bert Tosh, senior producer of religious programmes for BBC Northern Ireland. The festivities included a parish barbecue.
Christ Church, Dublin
On Sunday morning Koor de Stemming, from Amsterdam, sang at the Choral Eucharist and in the afternoon an organ recital was given by Peter Barley as part of the Incorporated Association of Organists Annual Congress.
