After almost 45 years of service at the R.C.B, Mr Philip Talbot retired from his position as Head of Investments on Friday 30 September 2011. Staff Appointments: Head of Investments; Synod Officer

Mr Roy Asher has succeeded Philip Talbot as Head of Investments. Previously Mr Asher was Chief Investment Officer and Director at Aviva Investment Ireland, prior to which he held investment responsibilities in Hibernian Investment Managers and also in Norwich Union. Mr Asher’s role will include participation as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Mr Garrett Casey was recently appointed and has taken up duties as the new Synod Officer, within the Synod Department in Church House Dublin. Kilmore Skills to lead
At the recent diocesan synod, Bishop Ken Clarke highlighted the work of “One of the most positive developments in the Diocese”. This is the Skills To Lead Course.  Bishop Ken said,  “The Course is essentially practical and skills related. Amongst other things it is designed to build confidence and develop some basic skills which are useful in public speaking, conflict resolution, developing healthy relationships and chairing meetings. Maud Cunningham, Brigid Barrett and Hazel Hicks have given excellent leadership and training and we thank them. It is a great joy to join with the participants for the presentation of their certificates and to see their enthusiasm and hear their appreciation of the Course.”

Worship Academy Ireland
