Campaigns to stop internet pornography at source and TV series on Teen Sex

Christian Concern issues two Action Alerts
Christian Concern which monitors legislation and its impact on moral issues in the UK highlighted two areas of concern this week.

Action Alert: Support campaign to stop internet pornography at source
On 7 February 2011 Culture Minister Ed Vaizey MP has a meeting with Internet Service Providers regarding the better regulation of internet pornography. Ed Vaizey will be asking the ISPs to block such material at source, to keep it off computers. This would entail switching the default setting for ‘adult’ content into our homes to ‘off’, and implementing an ‘opt-in’ system.

Please can you support this by e-mailing Ed Vaizey and letting him know that he has your support.

A series called ‘The Joy of Teen Sex’ are being shown by Channel 4 which encourage sexual promiscuity amongst teenagers.

The programmes contain sexually explicit scenes and celebrate promiscuity. Teenagers speak of their sex lives and are encouraged by the adults in the programme. There is no mention of moral responsibility. Three of the four programmes have already been shown.
