Churches’ canvassing crib sheet on homelessness for Election 2020

A General Election has been called and polling will take place on Saturday February 8. Over the coming weeks election candidates will be be out and about looking for your vote if you are a resident in the Irish Republic.

If you are concerned about homelessness, the Irish Inter–Church Meeting has produced a useful canvassing resource. The resource contains facts and figures relating to homelessness, a list of questions to ask yourself and three things to ask canvassers.

The canvassing crib sheet is part of a set of resources designed to equip churches to respond to the issues of housing insecurity and homelessness in our communities. These resources were officially launched last autumn and also include a small group study and a prayer liturgy.

These resources are available to download from the dedicated Irish Churches website: [ https://irishchurches.org/cmsfiles/homeless/ ]

You can skip straight to the canvassing resource here.

The Irish Inter–Church Meeting represents the Irish Council of Churches and the Irish Episcopal Conference.
