350th Anniversary of the Rebuilding of the Cathedral by Bishop Jeremy Taylor in 1661.
The Chapter of Dromore Cathedral has added ‘Cathedral Sunday’ to the diocesan calendar which will this year be marked by a special Songs of Praise Service on 27th February at 6pm.
This is also the 350th Anniversary of the Rebuilding of the Cathedral by Bishop Jeremy Taylor in 1661.
Members of the parishes in the diocese of Dromore were invited to request a favourite hymn. The hymns will include both contemporary and traditional musical traditions, and some of those requesting (and who are willing) will be interviewed briefly about their choice.
The service will include a brief introduction to Bishop Jeremy Taylor and the relaxed tone will complement the formal opening and closing.
