The Archbishops of Canterbury and York joined the Bishop of Manchester last week in admitting the Revd Canon Colin Craston to the Order of William Temple.
Canon Craston is the first clerical member of the Order, whose first lay member, Alan Cooper, was admitted earlier this year.
This honour is given in recognition of his long and distinguished ministry within the Diocese of Manchester, the Church of England, and the Anglican Communion. Canon Craston has this year celebrated the 60th anniversary of his ordination
