The ISE in co-operation with local churches and Carrickfergus Council is holding a series of six lectures on ‘anti-sectarian theology’ in the Dobbs Room in Carrick town hall during January and February.
The objections of the local Free Presbyterian minister to the Irish School of Ecumenics were reported in the local newspaper The Carrickfergus Advertiser. This in turn was reported on Emigrant Online, a major web site for Irish people in the USA.
It is hardly the image a town greatly in need of inward investment would wish.
