Reconciliation: To Dream the Impossible Dream?
Reconciliation: To Dream the Impossible Dream? Is being held in Christ Church (Church of Ireland), Infirmary Road, Derry / Londonderry. The event is being jointly organised by Archdeacon Robert Miller (Christ Church, Church of Ireland) & Fr Paul Farren (Administrator of St Eugene’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Derry / Londonderry).
The speaker will be Bishop Nathan Amooti (Anglican Bishop of Cyangugu, Rwanda)
Drawing on his experience in Rwanda he will address some of the following themes:
Is reconciliation in a divided society an impossible dream?
Do we have an alternative to ‘benign apartheid’?
What does reconciliation look like?
What does reconciliation cost us – what do we have to let go of to achieve it?
How can we move beyond our woundedness and our past, so that we are not defined by them?
There will be an opportunity for Q & A at the end of the event.
This free event is public and all sections of the community are encouraged to come.
Past Choristers Christ Church call up
All past choristers of Christ Church Cathedral are invited to participate in the Sunday services which the Past Choristers Association will sing on Sunday August 25.
