Irish Bishop’s key role at installation of Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome

The Chair of the Board of Governors — the trustees of the Anglican Centre in Rome — the Rt Revd Michael Burrows (standing left in photo above), Bishop of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory, participated in a service of evensong at the magnificent Chiesa di Sant’ Ignazio di Loyola, in Rome, during which Archbishop Ian Ernest was installed by Archbishop Justin Welby as the new Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome and as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s representative to the Holy See.‬

When the appointment was announced, Bishop Burrows said that Archbishop Ernest would bring “great enthusiasm for the task, a warm personality, and vast experience of his own province and the wider Anglican Communion”.
