You can produce your own family nativity play with a difference this year, all you have to do is turn your computer on.
The animated nativity, Roll on Christmas, produced by The Bible Society, gives you the chance to take the staring roles yourself and include friends and family in the festive stable scene.
‘Anyone on Facebook will be able to cast the play,’ said Ship of Fools editor Simon Jenkins who co-wrote the script.
‘Which pal will you choose to play your Virgin Mary or wise man? You decide.’
Aimed at anyone over 18, Roll on Christmas caricatures the way we behave over the festive period: shopping, drinking, eating, partying, celebrating and often ignoring the central character – Jesus.
‘Roll on Christmas is a fresh encounter with that amazing event 2,000 years ago in a new medium and in the new light of contemporary culture,’ said Bible Society’s Rachel Rounds.
