SPEAKING TO THE SOUL

Luke 12:25 And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?

When my daughter visits, she knows certain essentials will be on hand so she can pack a little lighter. Her goal is to travel as unencumbered as she can.

Worry is like luggage filled with non-essential stuff, things that weigh us down and cost us money or anxiety. Of no benefit to us, worry is dead weight, and trying to carry it will either exhaust us or leave us feeling lifeless.

Trust enables us to travel lightly and rest assured that every provision will be made for our use, our comfort, and well-being, as if by a loving parent who welcomes us home.

MOVING FORWARD: Do a little research about worry stones or stress balls. How might adding one of these items to your desk or bedside table help you manage your worries?
