Acts 3:6 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk.”
Whenever I do something, I try to ask myself: “How do I want to change the world?” In writing today’s reflection, I want you to fully embrace the power you have through Jesus Christ.
For many years, I had a hard time with the miracles in the Bible. The well-educated part of me scoffed, “This can’t happen.” I told myself, “Disabled people don’t just get up and walk.” But in today’s reading from Acts, that is exactly what happens!
I have come to believe that denying the possibility of the miraculous is just as dangerous as believing every charlatan is indeed a faith healer.
Disbelieving miracles shuts a door in our minds that God wants left open. God draws life out of those coffin-shaped doors every single second of every single day. That’s a power fantastic, and Jesus plugs us straight into it.
You can do more than you think.
MOVING FORWARD: Have you ever seen a miracle?
