The Anglican Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, has warned those, including Boko Haram, scheming to distract the government of President Goodluck Jonathan to retrace their steps and turn a new leaf.
Bishop Chukwuma gave the admonition in a sermon during a thanksgiving service by the Uba family, whose mother turned 88 at Saint James Anglican Church, Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He said that there was need to halt the wave of violence rocking the northern part of the country and stress that Nigeria belonged to the citizens and everybody should contribute in uplifting it to greatness.
The Bishop pointed out that Ndigbo would no longer serve as cannon fodder for political manipulations and urged them (Ndigbo) to forge a common and united front to protect their interests.
