The organ recital series continues in St Columb’s Cathedral cathedral this summer. Eric Sweeney from Waterford Cathedral and Stuart Nicholson from St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, will perform on Thursday, August 11th and 18th respectively at 1.10 pm
Earlier recitals have included Joseph Richter (USA) in June as part of his European tour. The cathedral’s resident organist, Ian Mills, performed on Thursday, 21 July and again on Saturday, 23 July when the annual congress of the International Association of Organists visited the city. Anthony Hammond prizewinner in the St Alban’s International Organ Competition gave a recital on July 28.
