Applications are invited for the Philip Mehaffey Memorial organ scholarships for 2011–12
It is hoped to award the scholarships at a special service on September 11 in St.Columb’s Cathedral. Applicants, who need not have experience playing the organ, should be able to demonstrate keyboard skills to a minimum of Grade Six piano, should be a communicant members within the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe and have an appreciation of music and Anglican liturgy.
The scholarships include lessons with the Organist and Choir Master on the cathedral organ, an allowance for the purchase of music, and a stipend to cover expenses.
