Musicians needed for Church of England Advent podcasts
The C of E is planning to release a series of free podcasts for each day in Advent this year. And need some free music.
The statement from the organisers continues:
The content is taken from the successful CHP Reflections for Daily Prayer series, provided by author and broadcaster The Rev’d Angela Tilby and Professor Jeff Astley of Durham University. Previous Advent campaigns include Ready Steady Slow in 2009, which had over 60,000 views on YouTube and we are confident that Reflections for Advent will have a similar profile.
We want to include short pieces of music appropriate to the Advent season (and, as far as possible, the readings for the day) of no more than two minutes or so as part of each daily podcast – which is where you come in. We are looking for simple, accessible, meditative vocal, choral, instrumental pieces from a variety of genres (from Gospel to Gregorian Chant).
All music included would be guaranteed a brief spoken and a full online credit with link to the appropriate site/shop.
If you’re interested, please email advent@chruchofengland.org with your details and we’ll get back to you – please don’t email any music files!
